Hello my name is Alex Sobolev, i have been drumming for 7 years. i came to america with my parents, from the ukraine in 1991. i started my musical education in the 5th grade. I started to experiment with congas, bongos, and other hand percussion 2 years ago and have come to love the sounds and textures they produce.

The relaxation that my body feels when i am creating music is next to no other feeling in the world. so far i have been in these ensembles
harrison high school:
- club jazz
- jazz ensemble
- percussion ensemble
- marching band
- drum line

Northcoast academy percussion ensemble bands (rock, funk, jazz, a little bit of everything!)
I love rudimental percussion and drum set as well. I have marched in marching band and play snare in a winter line www.northcoast.winterguard-online.net. I also am planning on doing drum corps in the near future. I hope to go far with music, even as i get older i know that music is going to be part of my life.
