My name is Richard Cabrita. I play congas, bongos, adufe, timbales, tambourin, pandeiro, djembe, a bohran to mention a few. I am mainly a Latin percussionist. I have been to brazil and Portugal to study and further my knowledge on drumming.

I live on the Central coast of new South Wales, Australia. it is about an hour above Sydney. great place, beaches and the bush together. there is nothing I love more then getting in the four wheel drive and going for a drive on the beach or forest and finding a nice place to play with the sounds of nature.

I also play in bands and work as session musician. I am currently writing a book on playing percussion in rock, funk and R&B settings. this book started mainly as an avenue for my students and progressed from there.
