Carlo
Seminara
Carlo Seminara was born
in Albertslund, Denmark, in 1980. He lives in Argentina since
1985. He studied African,
Cuban and Arabian percussion in Argentina since 1997 with
various professors and Drum set with Adrian Carlesso. Also
he studied in Uruguay with Nicolas Arnicho (Ruben Rada’s
percussionist). At 2002 he went to Cuba where he took classes
with Justo Pelladito (founder, among others, of ISA institute
and Conjunto Folclorico Nacional) and Tony Urdaneta (Conjunto
Folclórico Nacional). Actually he is finishing the
Drummer career in the Rosario National University (UNR).
He’s been studying Contrabass with Domingo Porta since
1998.
Actually he is the percussionist
of Kilt the Piper (a Celtic music group) and the co director
of Ponle
la clave que ya se
formó el rumbón (Cuban folkloric music).
